INSTRUMENT MAN
 
Main Function: Responsible in assisting in the operation, maintenance, and interpretation of surveying instruments in all construction projects.
 
Authorities & Responsibilities
Surveying Assistance:
*Set up, calibrate, and operate surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and theodolites.
*Assist in performing topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
Data Collection and Interpretation:
*Record precise measurements of distances, angles, and elevations.
*Assist in analyzing and interpreting field data to ensure it meets project requirements.
Equipment Maintenance:
*Maintain and clean instruments to ensure accuracy and longevity.
* Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on equipment as necessary.
Team Coordination:
*Work closely with surveyor, engineers, and construction crews to ensure accuracy and alignment with project plans.
Documentation:
*Maintain accurate field notes and documentation of measurements and observations.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. EDUCATION: Associate degree or Diploma in Surveying or Civil Engineering or any related field.
2. EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of experience in surveying or construction layout and operating surveying instruments like total stations, GPS units, levels and theodolites.
3. Problem-Solving Skills
5. Ability to clearly convey data and instructions to team members.
6. Strong sense of accountability for measurements and field work.
