The Insturctional Designer will design & develop learning content and programs using the latest instructional and educational technology methods. This role will be instrumental in building our learning solutions through, research and consultation to develop content across a wide range of topics for onboarding, compliance and foundational skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Design and development of learning resources that are engaging and relevant to the workplace and industry context (including but not limited to job aids, workbooks, handouts, skill and knowledge assessments as well as case studies) Designing curriculum, content outline and storyboards, applying appropriate multimedia learning methodologies considering scalability, delivery requirements and limitations Maintain training materials, courseware, and content, to ensure that information is current and accessible Research and make recommendations on educational best practices, instructional technologies, and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning Perform other duties as assigned or required PERSONAL SKILLS & QUALITIES Ability to communicate well A strong interest in learning & development which means you are keen on following the latest trends in L&D, changes in learning technologies, willing to embrace and open to all types of training Ready to question the ways in which our organization is doing learning & development and always 'hungry' to keep learning yourself Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, manage own time, work under pressure and work under minimum supervision Thrive in a fast-paced, agile and dynamic environment Flawless integrity, with strong interpersonal and analytical skills High energy, team orientated Must demonstrate initiative and a 'can do' attitude - solutions-oriented and results focused. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong visual design sense, highly creative, and innovative Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Previous experience in training, curriculum design, training needs analysis, and training evaluation Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors Experience using Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Powerpoint) At least 1 year experience of eLearning development Must be willing to work Australian hours Must be willing to work at Bonifacio Global City PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in digital design, media production, motion graphics, and video editing an advantage Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies, such as HTML Experience in executing graphic design and video development projects for instructional and presentation needs Experience using e-Learning software/ content creation tools and a learning management system
