1) Able to operate Injection machines such as Toyo, Toshiba, JSW, Victor Taichung
2) Follows prescribed safety practices and uses good judgment while performing assigned duties.
3) Utilizes and encourages the use of proper safety equipment including gloves, face shields, machine guards, safety glasses, etc.
4) Records production data accurately and consistently.
5) Understands how to access an approved process sheet for any part number.
6) Assists with training of molding operators. May serve as a molding operator as the demand requires.
7) Installs inserts and mold bases into the press using prescribed methods. May position, align, and secure assembled mold, mold components, and machine accessories onto machine press bed, and attaches connecting lines.
8) Observes and adjusts machine parameters to eliminate production of defective parts and products as directed by the Process Technician. Optimizes molding processes proactively to improve efficiency, scrap, labor, and/or machine time within skill level.
9) Controls and maintains the auxiliary molding equipment to include oil heaters, resin dryers, material conveying equipment and filters, moisture analyzer, profilometer, etc.
10) Maintains and ensures the quality of the material stream.
11) Identify and communicate maintenance needs with appropriate personnel.
