Job Description Designs and implements various components of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) discipline and do so in a fast-paced environment. Have technical competence, and capability of creating functional specifications, design documents, and other similar documents. Closely collaborate with product managers and other members of senior management. Major Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate infrastructure technology options and present analysis and recommendations. Investigate issues potentially related to infrastructure in test and production environments. Ensure and drive collaboration between development, ops engineering, cloud infrastructure and security teams. Effectively communicate status on immediate priorities as well as long term technical plans. Establish and maintain regular communications with peers, Architects, Build and Engineering, deployment as well as operations teams, supplier management and vendors regarding requisite network infrastructure changes and improvement opportunities. Working with the Integration and Network Services team to build and integrate new Data Centers, ensuring compliance on best practices for network standards and also following the high level design set by the Architecture team. Working across the ITS team to support various network requirements for new projects and workload migrations. Collaborate with the Automation team to assist in the development of scripts for automated configuration deployment. Provide knowledge transfer sessions with peers and regarding changes in procedures, processes, documentation and frameworks. Work Experience Technical problem solving, project management, dependability, initiative, and professionalism are of the utmost importance Team player able to effectively interact cross-functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies in a diverse working environment Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel as the job requires Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail and organization Solid networking and system administration experience with the understanding of switches, routers, SDN, firewalls, VPN, and IDS/IPS is required Technical Experience Minimum of 5+ years of Enterprise Network experience with high availability production infrastructure Minimum of 5+ years of understanding a large enterprise and cloud/telco environment Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated experience working with SDN like Cisco ACI, MSO, Cisco ASR routers, and Nexus switches Working knowledge of ACI integration with VMware/Openstack and Automation Working knowledge of Performance and Fault management integration of network devices Qualifications CCNP/CCDP or equivalent certification or experience 1+ years of automation development with scripting experience in Python, Perl or Jason/YAML. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly terms Highly self-motivated and directed Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Excellent written and oral communication skill with experience communicating highly conceptual designs to Sr/Mid-level management, and peer engineers.
