Responsibilities:
● Basic management and maintenance of various internal company software systems
● Basic infrastructure maintenance
● Management of the company's internal Google Workspace accounts
● Deploy WordPress websites to hosting accounts running on cPanel
● Deploy other web applications to Linux instances hosted on various cloud service providers
● Migrate websites from one host to another, as well as one domain to another
● Perform email migrations from cPanel email to Google Workspace or Office 365
● Ensure that websites and web applications are running 24/7 and free of security issues through regular
maintenance and updates
● Liaise with project managers and developers to accomplish evolving client requirements.
● Make process improvements that will benefit development and deployment speed, as well as increase the
performance and uptime of all future websites.
Skills and Qualifications:
● Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and PHP. Prior web development experience, especially with WordPress, is a
plus.
● Proficient with cPanel or other equivalent web hosting control panel software
● Familiarity with and a strong interest in the Linux environment and how to host web applications with the
LAMP/LEMP stack
● Familiarity with tools from cloud service providers such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
● Strong understanding of domain names, nameservers, zone records, and DNS in general, and an ability to
confidently make changes to zone records in order to push sites live and migrate websites and emails
between hosts.
● Familiarity with web security, and a passion for doing things according to industry best practices to ensure
websites remain fast and secure throughout their lifetime
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● A willingness to progress into other IT/ Cloud / Software areas
