Sets control switches on computer and peripheral equipment, such as external memory, data commuting, synchronizing, input, and output recording, or display devices, to integrate and operate equipment according to program routines, subroutines, and data requirements specified in written operating instructions.
d. Moves switches to clear system and start operation of equipment.
e. Observes machines and control panels on computer console for error lights, verification printouts and error messages, and machine stop-page or faulty output.
f. Types alternate commands into computer console, according to predetermined instructions, to correct error or failure and resume operations.
g. Reviews error listing on printout to ascertain nature of output errors.
h. Determines required corrections by comparing output with original input data such as daily patient listings.
i. Complies lists of errors and corrections and submits corrected data for repunching.
j. Notifies supervisor, computer operations of errors or equipment stoppage.
k. Clears units at end of operating run and reviews schedule to determine next assignment.
l. Records operating and downtime.
m. Selects prewired panels or wires control panels of peripheral equipment.
n. Technical Support:
- Performs hardware and software maintenance duties
- Troubleshoots and corrects hardware/software computer and network problems
- Assists with the maintenance and operation of approximately 36 workstations
- Assists in computer related duties and timing of our hospital events
- Ensures all daily tasks including backups complete successfully
- Offers technical support of telephone system
- Offers technical support of hospital system (HIMS)
- Offers technical support of video/camera system (CCTV)
o. Administrative Tasks:
- Develops user guides with policies and procedures
- Designs and develops marketing materials, e.g. brochure, articling brochure, personal and practice group profiles, website, etc.
- Develops and integrates marketing activities across service areas, e.g. logo, templates for request for proposals, powerpoint, etc.
- Develops and maintains the firm's website; keep site content fresh and updated
p. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the management.
