WeLink MCS is currently hiring for an Information Security Head (Managerial Level) on behalf of a client partner in the Financial / Retails Industry.
Job Summary:
The Information Security Head takes responsibility for overseeing and controlling all aspects of computer security in a business. The job entails planning and carrying out security measures that will protect a business's data and information from deliberate attacks, unauthorized access, corruption and theft. The ISH is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected, which includes duties in identifying, evaluating and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the enterprise.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provides information security awareness training to organization personnel
- Creates and manages security strategies
- Oversees information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel
- Oversees security team members and all other information security personnel
- Provides training to information security personnel during onboarding
- Evaluates department budget and costs associated with technological training
- Assesses current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement
- Establishes and oversees technological upgrades, improvements and major changes to the information security environment
- Serves as a focal point of contact for the information security team and the customer or organization
- Leads and configures physical security, disaster recovery and data backup systems
- Communicates information security goals and new programs effectively with other department managers within the organization
- Assesses the risks to computer systems and planning to minimize possible threats
- Upgrades existing security systems or designs new ones
- Tests security products and evaluates them
- Simulates security breaches to test procedures
- Makes plans for disaster recovery in case security is breached
- Carries out corrective actions in the event of a breach
- Looks for weak points in the system and secures them
- Ensures that international and national network security standards are met
- Prepares technical documentation and reports for users and managers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or any related sciences
- With 5-7 years of solid experience with big data platforms and tools is preferred but not mandatory
- Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
- Must have a strong background in information technology with a clear understanding of the challenges of information security
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security risks
- Experienced with full understanding and awareness of security issues
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Previous experience as an InfoSec
- Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
- Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
- Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
- Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
- Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
- Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software
- Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss
