Job Description
The Inbound Warehouse Supervisor (Non-Macro) is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Non-RM materials (flour/feeds micro ingredients & packaging materials, marketing collaterals, animal health products & spares inventory) to support flour & feeds operational requirements and other divisions are met.
He/She is in-charge of the Inbound Non-RM section making sure that the team's deliverables, goals & objectives are met.
Inventory Management
Ensures accurate & timely recording of material deliveries, movements & issuances in the ERP system.
Complies with Good Warehousing Practices & standards on handling & storing of materials to protect the integrity of the material.
Coordinates with concerned departments (Production, QA, Accounting, CMD, and other stakeholders) in relation to issues & concerns on the non-RM inventory.
Spearheads the management of inventory accuracy, variance reconciliation and endorsement.
Make sure that ideal inventory levels are achieved without material run-outs and over inventory levels.
Manages capacity & utilization of warehouses & other storage facilities.
Initiates the identification, endorsement & disposal of obsolete items (phase-out, expired, damaged & non-moving items).
Ensures that all material movements & recorded & accounted to maintain accurate inventory reports.
General Management
Plans and coordinates the activities of the Inbound Warehouse Team to support the operations teams and other stakeholders;
Manages inventory risks and ensure that contingency plans are in place;
Develop and implement flexible solutions to aid operational efficiency, drive process improvements and add value;
Seeks and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements and address operational risks;
Establish and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) as required and controls to obtain and maintain efficient and effective process management;
Ensure operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as required;
Monitor and provide reports on the achievement of targets and activity updates to management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and programs.
People Management
Manage, coach and develop the team that meets the agreed objectives; which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements;
Establishes a healthy & enabling working environment to bring out the best of his/her team's performance.
Conducts regular communication with his/her team members and provides real-time feedback on their performance to ensure his/her engagement & growth in the organization;
Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
Food Safety:
Ensures execution of quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations within the team.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
Other Tasks:
Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the team leader.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree holder in any 4 or 5 year course (Engineering/Business Management / Industrial Engineering)
Experience:
At least 3 years work experience in Warehousing or Inventory Management
At least 2 years experience leading a team
