About the Job
The job requires for the general management of the activities and operations related to import, incoming deliveries, transportation of cargo supplies, dock management, receipt of goods, and correspondence with logistics companies & related government agencies.
Inbound Logistics cover the front end of the company's supply chain. TI Philippines sources supplies from a global network of world class suppliers, and employs a world class network of logistics providers to move cargo internationally. This job is responsible for the management of a multi-million dollar supply chain pipeline of semicon related cargo. It requires a global understanding of how Customs regulations work, and a same level of awareness of PEZA rules and regulations. TI generally employ air and sea mode type transportation, handling general cargo, cold chain, and dangerous goods. Transit time measurement is a standard KPI in the world of Logistics, and this will always be a common theme in the daily activities of managing the deliveries of supplies to the TIPI site. Tracking shipment location and managing tight delivery schedules is part of the daily activities of an Inbound Logistics Supervisor. The semiconductor supply chain is always exciting and among the most challenging but insightful type of logistics work. Our exposure to the industry deepens ones understanding of global economics and trade. Job Scope:
The following are the general scope of Inbound Logistics Operations
1. Plant-to-plant inventory transportation.
2. Supplier-to-plant material transportation.
3. Compliance to importation laws and regulations.
4. Modes of inbound transportation.
5. Receiving docks management.
6. Strict adherence to SAP Receiving Module transactions.
7. Correspondence with the BCEPZ Customs and PEZA authorities.
8. Business relationship with forwarders, consolidators, brokers, and couriers.
9. Management of KPI expectations and monitoring KPI execution
Minimum Requirements:
Business or Engineering graduate
3-5 years on hand related experience with international transportation and import
Working knowledge of PEZA and Customs regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Very organized in managing communication and follow-ups
Analytic and result-oriented leadership style
SAP knowledge an advantage
Strong Excel skills an advantage
Ability to quickly learn new government regulations and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to implement changes
Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
