HOUSEKEEPING OFFICER-IN-CHARGE (OIC)
 
Job Summary:
 
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Housekeeping Officer-in-Charge (OIC) to oversee and coordinate all housekeeping operations in our hotel. The OIC ensures smooth daily operations, assigns tasks, monitors staff performance, manages inventory, and handles guest concerns efficiently, especially during lean or high-demand periods. This role requires leadership, fairness, and strong organizational skills to maintain hotel standards and guest satisfaction.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and service areas
Assign tasks, manage manpower, and ensure timely completion of housekeeping duties
Monitor room status, inventory, supplies, and equipment
Handle guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery professionally
Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance for room readiness and repairs
Ensure proper documentation of lost and found items
Enforce attendance, discipline, and compliance with company policies
Prepare basic operational reports and endorse urgent matters to management
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
College level or with relevant certification
At least 2 years of housekeeping experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or OIC role
Experience in laundry operations
Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate efficiently in lean or challenging situations
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety standards
Customer-service oriented with good communication skills
