HOSTEL MANAGER
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Hostel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our beach hostel located in the northern part of Cebu where white sand beaches are located. This is the first Beach Hostel in the area and it also has a lounge bar and an recreational shop that offers basic to extreme sports activity. The Hostel Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the hostel and lounge bar runs smoothly, providing excellent customer service to guests, managing staff, and ensuring that the hostel meets regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be energetic, sporty, adventurous, and passionate about meeting new people and providing them with an exceptional travel
experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the hostel and lounge bar, including housekeeping, manpower, maintenance, and front desk operations
Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, ensuring that they have a memorable and enjoyable stay
Hire, train, and manage a team of staff to ensure that they provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the hostel meets regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards
Manage the budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue and making recommendations for improvements
Work with the marketing team to promote the hostel and lounge bar and attract new guests
Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in hotel supervision or management
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Experience managing a budget and analyzing financial data
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for the hospitality industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
Must be young, full of life, happy to meet new people, energetic, sporty, and adventurous.
Willing to relocate to the beautiful island with white sand beach in the northern town of Cebu
Housing and meals allowance included plus allowance to go home once a month
