g) Maintains inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, storing under proper conditions of refrigeration and security.
h) May compound bulk emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments for pharmacy and nursing-unit stocks.
i) Checks and monitors issuance of E-Kits, expiration date and labels of Pharmacy stocks.
j) Monitors proper storage of vaccines and biologicals by checking the temperature of the stockroom and Pharmacy refrigerators.
k) Provides information to physician and other staff members on availability of new drugs, warnings on currently marketed drugs, incompatibility of certain drugs, and contraindications of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
l) Supervises activities and functions of the pharmacy assistant.
m) Assists in receiving and stacking of deliveries; posts new deliveries and endorses them to the next shift.
n) Attends continuing education program as required for renewal of licenses.
o) Other tasks that may be assigned by the management.
