The Horticulturist will be working with the management team with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of a wide range of diverse trees and plants, including specimen materials, cultivation, and preservation of plant material with primary responsibility of assuring the well-being of the landscape and gardens.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
Preparation of a Landscape Maintenance program * Spearhead the execution and monitoring of day to day landscape maintenance activities of condominium/village landscape maintenance projects in coordination with the assigned Building/Village Manager
Preparation of monthly landscape maintenance program for all landscape projects within condominiums/villages
Preparation of monthly budgetary cost estimates for all landscape maintenance projects within condominiums/villages
Identify best cultural practices in agriculture involving plant nutrition using sustainable agricultural inputs to ensure soil conservation and preservation
Formulate effective strategies to prevent and control pest and diseases affecting landscape plants used in Filinvest project
Training and evaluation * Conduct periodic performance evaluation of landscape maintenance contractors
Preparation of training materials for landscape maintenance workers skill development
Conduct periodic training to landscape maintenance workers
Preparation and submission of monthly & annual status reports relating to landscape maintenance
Continuous development
Identify best cultural practices in agriculture best adapted to existing site conditions
Conduct continuous research involving new strategies, methodologies, best practices in agriculture to explore and introduce new technologies best suited to existing site conditions
Conduct quarterly benchmarking of competitors in the field of landscape design, installation and maintenance.
Conduct Audits to ensure all properties are compliant to the Landscape Maintenance Program
Conduct landscape audit on managed residential properties
Generate reports with regard to audit findings with the aim of assisting Building/Village Managers in implementing corrective measures.
Give recommendations to Building/Village Managers / Project Technical Group on best practices on landscaping
Tabulate and collect learnings, design issues and best practices with the aim of improving future development.
Monitor and regularly send out updates to ensure that Building Managers / Area Managers close out all findings within an audit cycle (6 months).
