Job Description
An HDD Operative (Horizontal Directional Drilling Operative) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of horizontal directional drilling equipment.
They ensure the safe and efficient installation of underground utilities, including pipelines, cables, and conduits, while minimizing surface disruption.
Duties typically include site preparation, equipment setup, bore path monitoring, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Experience: Background in HDD, utility installation, or trenchless technology preferred.
Certification: Training or certification in HDD operations (e.g., CPCS or NPORS) is desirable.
Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency with drilling equipment, hydraulic systems, and power tools.
Safety & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong understanding of safety standards and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Communication & Teamwork: Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Physical Fitness: Stamina for outdoor work and handling equipment in various conditions.
Driving License: Valid UK driver's license preferred.
Proficiency: dealing with drilling equipment, hydraulic systems, and power tools.
IELTS-UKVI is an advantage to get a work permit
