The primary role is to assist in writing application specifc content related to IT Business Analysis. A strong emphasis on grammar, syntax, and sentence structure is a must. A good background in and understanding of technology and an aptitude to learn more about complex technologies is also required. Additional responsibilities include supporting other aspects of the Incident Management process, such as editing and publishing RCAs written by others and taking inbound calls when the Incident Management voice queue surpasses a volume threshold.
Required Skills:
Personal transportation required
Experience across multiple IT disciplines including telecom, security, networking, systems and desktop administration
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Must have exceptional verbal and written English skills including experience with technical writing
Experience with copy editing or other editorial responsibilities is a plus
Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
Must produce a high quantity of quality work with very few errors and mistakes
Must demonstrate reliability, initiative, and diligence
Must have a track record of timeliness and regular attendance
4-year degree in a writing-related course of study or equivalent experience
Experience with call center technology
Applicant will be requested to complete a technical writing sample based on a prompt provided during the interview
For internal candidates, cannot currently be under any disciplinary action or action plan
Skills needed
A technical writer must have basic knowledge in computer and security
Proficient in MS Office
