Job Description
• Proficiency in the use of Omicron HV test equipment including CMC-356, CPC-100, CT Analyser, CPTD1 (power factor) and FRAnalyzer (SFRA).
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documenting test results.
• Test HV installation to verify calibration of assets are within tolerance levels, document results, ensure the installation conforms to regulations and safety requirements.
• Read plans, drawings & diagrams and submit modifications to Senior Electrical engineers as required.
• Testing and commissioning of such assets: o Transformers o Protection relays o GIS switchgear, air insulated switchgear o Current transformers o Voltage transformers o Capacitive Bushings o Motors o Cables o Capacitor banks, harmonic filter units o
• Liaising with technical support staff to achieve the most efficient outcomes and assist in system improvements.
• Provide input and assist electrical engineers in the design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations and switchgear.
• Completion and submission of all relevant documentation and reporting paperwork.
• Competent in preparation of commissioning / testing documentation, testing plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works
• Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management Systems i.e. Permit To Work systems, Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Method Statements.
• Strong safety focus and to be a leader in adhering to site safety processes. • Work safely both independently and in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of High Voltage systems.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
Can confidently speak and understand the English language.
Electrical Engineering degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Electrical discipline.
Deep experience in the high voltage industry.
Intermediate computer skills (email, work spreadsheet, and databases).
