Job Description
Vehicle Maintenance: This may include performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, repairs, tire rotations, and other scheduled maint procedures to keep heavy-duty vehicles in optimal conditions
• Repair and Diagnostics: Heavy-duty mechanics are responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other issues with vehicles. This may involve using diagnostic tools and equipment, troubleshooting problems
Repairing or replacing faulty components, and ensuring that vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
• Engine and Transmission Work: Heavy-duty mechanics may be involved in repairing, rebuilding, or replacing engines, transmissions, and other major components of heavy-duty vehicles.
This may require specialized skills and knowledge in working with heavy-duty engines and transmissions.
• Welding and Fabrication: Heavy-duty mechanics may also be skilled in welding and fabrication, as repairing or fabricating metal components may be necessary in some cases to repair heavy-duty vehicles.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and other relevant information is an important aspect of an automobile heavy-duty mechanic's job
This may involve documenting repairs, maintenance tasks, and other relevant information for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal vocational or technical training program in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a heavy-duty vehicle mechanical manager.
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, components, and repair techniques.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues in heavy-duty vehicles.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
With Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
