Description
We are looking for a Head of IT who will be the first and foremost leader within the department overseeing all activities of the IT team and who will drive the overall vision and champion the IT strategy of CIBI. This person will be in charge of leading the day-to-day projects as well as the management and long-term prioritization of the business's overall IT needs and opportunities.
We envision this person to spearhead training for the team and take on a mentorship role to key IT personnel, constantly honing their professional skills, and preparing them for the occupation of his position in future.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning:
Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of strategic and long-term technological strategies to
support achievement of CIBI's strategic priorities.
Oversee the overall framework and technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
Lead the design and implementation of corporate plans, policies, and standards for the local organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
Ensure current business continuity for information technology resources. Conduct ongoing risk assessments and audits to ensure that information systems are adequately protected and meet security requirements
Development and Deployment: Lead the development, design, approval, prioritization and implementation of appropriate technology architectures, platforms, information systems, and applications to achieve business objectives
Collaboration: The role of Head of IT is a highly collaborative role and, as such, facilitates joint brainstorming and team collaboration. You will work closely with the senior leadership team in establishing departmental goals and strategies.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of working experience in an IT/Technology driven environment
Proven and successful experience in the development, execution, and launch of IT initiatives and products
Demonstrated success leading IT/Technology teams
