KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all key responsibilities of the Internal Audit department in accordance with Group and Local practices Lead full audit cycle and present findings and areas for improvement to the SMT and the Audit Committee Be an agent for change by delivering quality audit reports with practical, effective and actionable recommendations Conduct follow up reviews to ensure effective remediation Develop the three year audit plan and the annual detailed plan by performing risk assessments and liaising with 2nd line, Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders Prepare papers for the Audit Committee, and Senior Management Team Prepare reports for submission to Group Internal Audit, for the Group reporting purposes Become the trusted advisor to management for risk and control matters, while maintaining independence Ensure the resourcing is stable and suitable to deliver the approved audit plan Coach, mentor and develop direct reports Continuously develop knowledge regarding regulatory requirements, emerging risks and best practices Be an ambassador of the Internal Audit Department, Senior Management, and FWD values Make business decisi in accordance with the Internal Audit Charter and delegated authorities REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of experience in internal audit Minimum of 4 years experience in leading internal audit in the local life insurance industry.
