GYM INSTRUCTOR
 
Job Summary:
 
The Gym Instructor ensures excellent member service and smooth daily gym operations, combining front desk duties, fitness instruction, sales support, and facility oversight. In a lean environment, this role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities and supporting business growth.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for members and guests
Handle guest membership and walk-in inquiries
Build strong member relationships to improve retention and satisfaction
Recommend fitness programs and promote gym services
Conduct follow-ups and assist in membership renewals
Address member concerns promptly and professionally
Monitor gym floor cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality
Provide basic fitness orientation and equipment instruction
Report maintenance issues and assist in facility upkeep
Administer first aid when necessary
Assist in inventory and facility upkeep.
Handle cross-functional tasks in a lean operational setup
Qualifications:
College level or related certification (Fitness, Sports Science, PE, or similar)
Knowledge of fitness programs and proper equipment usage
Valid First Aid Certification (required)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Sales-oriented with excellent customer service skills
Physically fit and able to demonstrate exercises
Professional appearance and conduct
