Graphic Designer (Part Time - Night Shift | US)
Part-time 10 hours per week
Up to Php 15,000 take-home pay monthly
8:00pm - 12:00midnight PHT Work Schedule

About the Client:
Our client is a stealth startup building the future of coffee. The co-founders have experience launching new and innovative products at one of the largest companies in the beverage industry. Now they are in the early stages of building a disruptive venture within the ready-to-drink coffee category. Aiming for a product launch in 2021, they are going to deliver the ultimate functional coffee to consumers.
They are looking to hire their first design partner to help them in the consumer testing phase of product development. The designer will be responsible for creating quick and iterative product mockups, logo designs, etc. These mockups will be primarily used for testing with consumers through online surveys, focus groups, and interviews. Therefore, turnaround times will need to be flexible and quick, likely within 24-48 hours.
Note: They are NOT asking for a designer to help them build a full brand identity for our final product (...at least not yet). They are in early stage exploration mode, and will be looking for a designer to help create visual stimuli and product mockups that will let us understand what consumers like and how they like it.
Sometimes they will be very prescriptive in our asks and briefs; other times they will be looking for the designer's creativity to shine, influenced by a moodboard or other inspiration. They hope to establish a long-term relationship with this design partner who can support them not only through the consumer testing phase, but also through onboarding and working with an agency as they get closer to product launch.
About the Role:
Receive and execute design projects from Managing Partners to determine the specifications and timeline/deadline of a design project
Accurately develop and execute designs for logos and packaging of a coffee beverage
Apply designs to packaging mockup templates (.psd files) and convert to image files (.png or .jpg)
Utilize the following tools as needed - Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW
Analyze the design concepts and determine the message and feel that the design should convey and ensure that it's executed properly
Present the design to the Managing Partners for approval
Incorporate changes recommended or required
Review designs for errors or any final adjustment before the final output are delivered
Be fast on your ideas, create clean and structured files and systems
Qualifications:
Has at least 5-8 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
With strong English communication skills, both oral and written
Preferably with experience in the beverage and/or food industry catering particularly to designing packaging designs and product mockups
Can provide design or work samples to showcase previous design projects and product mockups
Has high level of competency using Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW
With good analytical skills
Creative and artistic and can work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and comprehension
Effective time management skills
Pays careful attention to details
Independent, self-sufficient, and highly resourceful
Values integrity and reliability
Has good initiative to keep the client abreast at all times
