Position
As TechSoup's Global Training Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of training and development for TechSoup's Global Network Partners and the Partner Service team. In collaboration and coordination with the U.S. and Europe training teams, you will develop and deliver training that ensures our teams are well-equipped and fully prepared to fulfill their duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training & Development
Assess global training needs and develop a systematic approach to organize, document, and maintain a library of training materials and courses, which includes but are not limited to TechSoup introduction and orientation, TechSoup programs and operations, all TechSoup and partner integrated platforms, and project- and grant-related deliverables
Work closely with counterparts in TechSoup regional centers globally and collaborate with teams (programs and functional departments) to drive the creation of training materials, taking into consideration training audience and delivery methods
Work with relevant teams to stay informed of new products, processes, UX, and other changes that have an impact on staff and partner ability to perform their duties, and develop training to address those changes
Schedule, lead and facilitate training sessions for partners and teams
Collaborate with Customer Service leaders on the continued design, development, and delivery of innovative training solutions for account management and Validation Services teams
Work with TechSoup management (supervisors, Partner Services, and other managers) to provide guidance, support, and coaching for trainees, and communicate standards, policies, procedures, and best practices to Partner staff
Evaluate each training session through direct feedback from trainees and stakeholders, QA results, and other appropriate evaluation methods, and maintain records, assessments, and feedback to improve training quality
Develop expertise in working with relevant training tools as needed, such as but not limited to Litmos
Travel internationally, as needed.
Knowledge Management
Document all relevant materials, processes and operating procedures, job aids, and other resources in the Knowledge Management system
Support Network Operations and Partner Services to document network-wide policies, standards, and other related topics
Conduct or participate in regular check-ins with other trainers to ensure standards are applied equally across all stakeholders (TechSoup and partners)
Maintain knowledge of and proficiency in adult learning techniques, and stay abreast on training trends and practices 0074o help identify appropriate delivery methods
Participate in the out-of-hours support process as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge of equipment and technology as it applies to training, including intermediate level knowledge of online learning tools such as Zoom and Litmos, and the ability to utilize these tools effectively in training delivery
A self-starter and able to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrate initiative, use good judgment, and manage time effectively to accomplish job duties
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal, in a professional, clear, and straightforward manner, using correct grammar and spelling to all levels of management and staff
Ability to communicate with different cultures and understand and accept relevant and different ways of learning
Solutions-focused, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work with others to resolve problems or manage sensitive situations
Comfortable working with change and ambiguity, and able to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic, and progressive environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities, while remaining proactive, positive, and solution-oriented
A continuous learner, and enthusiastic about keeping up-to-date on new developments in the learning field and applying new techniques and methods
Enthusiastic about helping people on a continuous improvement journey, and able to create an interactive and supportive learning environment, responding and adapting to various learning styles
Good-to-Have
Familiarity in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
Experience with video and audio editing
Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Office Application Suite and SharePoint
Education
Bachelor's or an advanced degree from an accredited university in a relevant field is strongly preferred
At least five (5) years of experience in curriculum development, documentation, and delivery (both interactive and traditional), and knowledge management
Cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across functions, departments, languages, cultures, and time zones
Professional experience in a global workplace setting is desirable
