Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Geologist - Hydrogeology who will carry-out routinary works and projects in support with operational requirements and ensure all water accounts follow national and international frameworks. The role also requires provision of support to Project Geologist - Hydrogeology in ensuring execution of planned hydrogeological projects are within the specified timeframe, budget, and in accordance with relevant legislations. The role will report to the Senior Geologist - Hydrogeology.Key tasks and responsibilities:
Provides constructive feedback to individuals, focusing on strengths and areas for improvement, and helps them develop strategies for growth
Monitors progress, identifies and addresses any misalignments or obstacles to goal achievement
Facilitates learning opportunities and supports individuals in acquiring new knowledge and skills
Gathers and analyses relevant information to inform decision-making
Develops and implements talent development strategies, identifying high-potential individuals and providing opportunities for growth and advancement
QualificationsQualified & Licensed GeologistHold a Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related discipline, with a valid Geologist license and Driver's License.Industry Experience & Technical Expertise
1-2 years' experience in the mining industry, with proven skills in hydrogeologic data collection and analysis
Knowledge of groundwater and surface water management best practices
Proficient in 3D geological modelling software such as Leapfrog, Surpac, Deswik, GMS, and Acquire
Experienced in project management of hydrogeological programs, including contractor coordination
Skilled in the use and installation of hydrological equipment: weirs, dataloggers, VWPs, grouting pumps, plugs, and packers
Hands-on experience with high-pressure grouting for uncontrolled water management
Familiarity with groundwater modelling approaches and applications
