Th will report to the Senior Geologist - GIS and Data.
Develops and maintain a comprehensive database of GIS projects, reports, and information;
Assists the department's data analysis efforts by working with other teams to identify data trends and patterns that support the organization's objectives;
Support the updating and management of the Geographic Information System (GIS) database of geospatial projects by capturing, digitising, and reviewing open file data;
Validating and managing geological data of Philippine projects;
Assists with reports and data extraction when needed;
Monitors and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them; and
Ensures digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
Qualifications
Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Geology;
Licensed Geologist;
Proficiency in GIS software packages (MapInfo, ArcGIS and QGIS, etc) will be well regarded;
Should possess a strong drive for health and safety management; and
