THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan International Philippines is currently implementing the fifth iteration of the MOVE UP Project. This project is in consortium with Action Against Hunger Philippines, CARE Philippines, and ACCORD Incorporated, supported by the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).
In line with this, the project is looking to fill the role of General Services Staff - Driver. This role is responsible for providing general administrative services along with transportation management and logistical support.
Further, as the General Services Staff - Driver:
You will transport project staff passengers and goods as per approved vehicle trip tickets.
You will perform preventive maintenance check-ups and act on all minor vehicle repairs.
You will process the canvassing of items in the approved requisition sheet.
You will conduct vetting of vendors and service providers.
You will assist on on-site and off-site or warehouse delivery inspection of all items purchased.
You will also serve as field security focal person and report all security-related in the field that may arise.
Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities in your assigned covered areas.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful in the role you will need among other things:
College/Vocational level graduate.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Minimum two (2) years relevant work experience.
Work experience in the areas of records management, purchasing, asset management, and transport management.
Has basic knowledge and experience in road safety.
Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs and troubleshooting.
Has excellent navigation skills.
General familiarity with travel and security issues in Mindanao.
Practical skills in maintaining the log of mileage, the number of trips, passengers, and destinations.
Good communication skills.
Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
Location: Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Philippines
Duration of assignment: Three months (until November 2022)
