General Accountant
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping of Daily Transactions to the books and to the system software (Quickbooks) such as but not limited to:
Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded.
Posting journal entries to ledger accounts.
Preparing trial balances.
Performing bank reconciliations.
Preparing cash flow statements.
Preparing financial reports.
Depositing money received by the organization.
Issuing invoices for money that is owed to the organization.
Accounts on behalf of the organization.
Performing payroll administration duties.
Filing tax returns.
Performing other duties as required.
-Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
-Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
-Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
-Bank Reconciliation
-Monitoring of AR/AP
-Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory
-Monitoring inventory transactions/reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger and to the system
-Presenting Completeness and accuracy of actual expenses made for the specified month.
-Transacting Sales
-Responsible for POS Operations.
-Willing to assist in some of the back office works.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with 1-3 years working experience in accounting (Bookkeeping, general accounting, receivables, payables, payroll, inventory or sales and POS Operations)
Has experience using Quickbooks or equally powerful/intuitive online software solution
Having a licence as a CPA is a bonus.
