Job Description
Main Duties / Responsibilities
The Fund Administrator reports to the Senior Fund Accountant and indirectly the Manager/Supervisor MFA.
The role is responsible for:
providing specialist administration reporting in relation to the Managed Investments Schemes for which services are being provided to.
the timely completion of assigned tasks
keeping track of deadlines
providing clear communication to other team members and management as needed
identifying and notifying of any errors, potential errors, and/or risks identified while undertaking their work or the reviewing of others work.
applying accounting principles and procedures to ensure that the preparation of financial information is accurate and timely
ensuring management confidence in prepared reports and statements requiring minimal review.
The Fund Administrator works collaboratively with the Senior Funds Accountant in the Funds Administration, the Directors MFA, the Funds Administration team, and other internal integrations within William Buck to ensure processes are defined and adhered to so that deliverables are consistently achieved to the highest possible standard.
Registry Administration
Pro Process all registry related items that come in (e.g. initial processing of apps & reds [actual issuing of units will depend on who priced the fund], processing of change of details requests, etc)
Answer all registry related queries / requests received (e.g. statement requests from investors / FMs, unitholder registry requests from FMs, etc)
Following up on pending registry documentation for investors
Timely update & maintenance of registry records for each fund (e.g. app/reds files for the funds, various trackers for newly onboarded funds, monthly sophisticated investors check, etc)
Develop skills and experience to be able to help out with pricing if needed
Other registry tasks (daily uploading of LAVF & LGVF apps/reds file, monthly monitoring and sending of ICFM renewal notices, etc)
Policy and Procedure
Review existing guidelines, identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve
Contribute to system and process development, reviews and testing
Employee Development
Other tasks as required to support the Funds Administration division including training and development of junior colleagues and support staff
Special project work as required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Technical Skills
Excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills
Understand the operating requirements of a fund's administration business - basic compliance and systems knowledge
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Commerce
CA/CPA qualification or undertaking the CA/CPA
Experience
Basic accounting and administration experience

Transactions prepared, recorded and registered in an accurate and timely manner for approval
Review data and financial information in a timely and efficient manner
