Position Qualifications
Bachelor degrees in either of the following fields from an accredited University is highly preferred:
Education,
BSED Math/ BSED Science
Has basic understanding and skills in conducting and writing research papers
Professional licensed teacher or board/ civil service exam passer preferred, but not required.
At least 1-year experience in teaching children and/ or teenagers.
Has experience in teaching children/ teenager in a residential setting is desirable, but not required.
Fluent in oral and written communication in English and Cebuano. (Fluency in written and oral Tagalog preferred, but not required).

Job Description and Responsibilities
Prepare and facilitate computer classes, activities, workshops, and training based on the module provided in the home-based curriculum.
Monitor proper maintenance of computers, the computer room, and other related stuff.
Assist and coach Junior High home-schooled students in their research lessons and papers based on modules provided in the home-based curriculum
Maintain consistent and proper written reports on the participant's educational updates and plans.
Work five (5) eight-hour shifts a week (Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm) in in-person classes.
Create an environment of love, acceptance, care, support, encouragement, and guidance for student-survivors, especially during classes.
Communicate with the MRH staff team (Social Worker, counselor, Community Worker, teachers, house parents, etc.).
Work and collaborate closely with the Education Team on a regular basis
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information such as participants' personal information, medical data, and MRH location.
Reporting
The Full-time Educator will report directly to the Education Team Leader (ETL) of My Refuge House.
