Job Description
Responsibilities
Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby and Javascript code
Identify the limitations of our code, tech stack, or data model and suggests alternatives
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Create and maintain a database schema that represents and supports our business goals
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to develop user-facing features
Ensure the technical feasibility of technical requirements and UI/UX designs
Relevant Experience
2+ years experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
3+ years experience writing software in a demanding professional environment
Solid understanding of SQL and ActiveRecord
Knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools
Familiar with an Agile development process and Git
Strong communication skills and experience working on a distributed team
Nice To Have
Experience with or the desire to learn Vue.js
Familiarity with cloud computing services like AWS, Google Could, or Azure
Experience building responsive websites used on a variety of devices
Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
