Our client is a non-profit Catholic ministry and welfare hub dedicated to providing pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and practical support to seafarers, fishers, and their families. Operating under the Archdiocese of Cebu, it serves as a "home away from home" for maritime workers docking in Cebu's ports. The Center is located in Cebu City.
 
FRONTDESK STAFF
 
The Frontdesk Staff serves as the first point of contact for everyone who visits or calls the Center. This role combines reception, basic admin work, and coordination, helping guests feel at home while supporting the smooth flow of information between visitors, the canteen, chaplains, and other services. You will play a key role in creating a friendly, orderly, and professional environment at the front desk.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Guest Care
Welcome seafarers, families, and visitors with a warm, respectful greeting.
Provide basic information about Center mass schedules, activities, and available support.
Help visitors with sign-in, directions, and simple inquiries.
Telephone & Communication
Answer phone calls and messages politely; route them to the appropriate staff or department.
Maintain a simple log of important calls, messages, and follow-ups.
Coordinate with the chaplaincy, and office staff regarding visitors' needs.
Frontdesk Administration
Keep the reception area clean, orderly, and welcoming.
Assist with basic clerical tasks: filing, photocopying, encoding simple data, and updating sign-up sheets or schedules.
Support booking or registration for meetings, events, or canteen-related activities, when needed.
Help direct volunteers, suppliers, and partners to the right contact person.
Assist in posting or displaying announcements, posters, and information materials.
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of office administration, tourism, or customer service preferred; Senior high graduates are welcome to apply
Experience in frontdesk, reception, customer service, or office support is preferred
Good communication skills in English and Filipino; Cebuano/Bisaya is an advantage
Friendly, patient, and respectful when dealing with people from different cultures and backgrounds
Organized, punctual, and able to handle several small tasks at once
Basic computer skills (email, word processing, simple spreadsheets)
