Description:
As a front-end software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based software products. You will embrace contemporary web development best practices with strong experience in front-end development methodologies.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Must-haves:
8-10 years experience developing web-based commercial web applications with strong frontend experience
At least 5 years experience designing architecture of commercial web-based products
Advance knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, Typescript, CSS3, SCSS, Angular 5+ (and related tools eg. Angular-CLI etc.)
Strong demonstrable skills in developing and architecting web applications using technologies like Angular 5 with TypeScript for building web-based UI on the frontend and integrating with REST and Java/J2EE technologies at the backend
Skills to diagnose performance issues and tuning in relation to pure JavaScript web applications
Strong knowledge on the following technologies:
Frontend technologies - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript , Typescripts, JavaScript libraries like MomentJS, Underscore, Angular5+
Testing Tools - Jasmine, Karma, Protractor etc.
UI Library - PrimeNG
Development Tools - Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE/VS Code/Web Storm/Sublime
Code Repository - SVN and GIT (BitBucket)
Build Tools - NPM, Angular-CLI
Practical experience with web frameworks
Ability to communicate and work closely with our Senior Software Developer, System Administrator and Scrum Master
Be a fast learner. monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies
Practical experience working in an agile development environment
Job Responsibilities:
Work with Development leads to design, develop and document new software features
Contribute to the design and development process
Produce high-level and detailed design documentation
Undertake technical research including evaluation of new software, tools, and techniques
Maintain a working knowledge of web development tools and frameworks used
Ensure compliance with coding standards and code design patterns
Ensure compliance with UI/UX design and style guidelines
Estimate development work effort
Hands-on application development
Thorough unit and integration testing of all code developed
Perform regular code reviews to ensure the high quality of code delivered
Coordinate and help out Junior developers
Maintain existing system / technical documentation and create new content where applicable.
