About the Role
Working with the Founder, you will be spearheading new website development on the Shopify platform while collaborating with the development team to innovate and discover new solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop and maintain new sites, pages, templates, and features for internal and client needs. To do this, you will need to understand and translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS, and write and maintain consistent, clean, and readable codes.
Take ownership of all front-end development and Shopify configurations for multiple storefronts.
Take complete ownership of projects including accurately estimating project timelines, committing to deadlines, delivering to specifications, and ensuring clear and honest communication with the rest of the team and management in Australia.
Provide insights and recommendations to increase performance & conversion, as well as decreasing & continually optimising page load times.
Internal website development.

Position Prerequisites
Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessary.
Experience with Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating.
Experience with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Metafields.
Experience implementing and working with analytics providers, such as Google Tag Manager, Google eCommerce tracking, Google AdWords conversion tracking, Facebook Pixel, Google Search Console etc.
Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools.
Must be able to code for custom development.
Nice to Have
Experience with Shopify's theme kit and/or Storefront API.
Understanding of conversion rate optimization or data-driven product development (analytics, a/b testing, etc.)
Continuously look for ways to improve conversion rates and implement A/B tests.
Previous agency experience.
Experience in Javascript frameworks.
Experience in WordPress would be preferred.
Skills
Strong organisation skills to manage multiple projects and internal requests, etc.
Able to prioritise your tasks and dependencies.
Ability to communicate well, giving proactive feedback to peers, team, and manager.
Strong level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
