Position: FOOD SERVER
Job Summary:
Ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver professional, courteous and efficient service to guests.
2. Greet guests and build rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation.
3. Present menus and answer questions about menu items.
4. Make recommendations upon request and offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques.
5. Inform guests of daily specials and items that are unavailable.
6. Take food and beverage orders by writing them down in order slips then entering them into the computer for transmittal to the kitchen.
7. Serve orders and prepare or serve specialty dishes at the table, as required.
8. Check with guests to ensure that all orders are served and that they are enjoying their meal. Take corrective actions when needed.
9. Present check and collect payments. Present OR and change, if any.
10. Follow established table service procedures.
11. Buss out, clean and sanitize tables for next use.
12. Prepare table for next guests by setting up necessary tableware.
13. Set-up stations and dining area for next shift.
14. Fill condiment containers (salt, pepper, sauces) and napkin holders.
15. Stock service areas with tableware and linen.
16. Complete assigned side works and duties.
17. Practice teamwork by helping co-workers.
18. Perform other tasks assigned by Manager.
19. Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment.
20. Check on temperatures of freezers, chillers or heating equipment to ensure all are functioning properly.
21. Order, receive and stock supplies.
22. Provide guests with correct details on food and beverages found in the menu.
23. Do daily inventory of stocks.
24. Wrap, label and date food items for sale.
25. Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor and related supplies like ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
26. Present, open and pour wine.
27. Serve beverage orders, clean bar and work area
Skills and Qualifications:
Male/Female
College graduate or at least 2 years vocational
18-28 years old
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills
Service oriented
With pleasing personality
Requirements * Minimum education level: Vocational
Years of experience: 1
Language(s): English
Knowledge: Customer service, Speaking in public
