To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a competent Color Technician to strengthen our Finishing section. Your main tasks will be to involve in checking the technology used to produce pigments and producing shades of color as specified by the client.
 
Job description
                                 
As Finishing / Color Technician you are expected to perform your job as herein provided, but not limited to:
Be able to prepare surfaces for a variety of paint finishes.
Apply hand-painted finishes, including detailing and touch-up work, on various products.
Understand, and follow manufacturing instructions and guidelines.
Be able to match approved samples.
Document color finishing processes for traceability.
Take directions from Process Unit Leader (PUL) and Production Operations Manager (POM).
Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
Ensure minimal waste during the finishing process by using materials efficiently.
Comply with all company health and safety standards and regulations.
Be flexible with work hours and willing to work overtime when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience:
Experience in hand detailing and color matching applications.
Experience with mixing and matching paint to achieve specific shades and tones.
Experience with various types of finishes, including lacquer, gloss, matt.
Previous work in a similar role within the manufacturing, automotive, or furniture industry is preferred.
Experience in using different tools and equipment for paint application, such as spray guns, and brushes.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Experience in maintaining and cleaning paint equipment.
Have some knowledge of different paint types and finishes, including their application and drying times.
Experience in color mixing.
Team player
Keep a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company procedures and standards needs to be maintained
Minimum 2 years work experience in a finishing environment
Some working knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is beneficial but not necessary.
