Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation monthly management and financial reports for management and various stakeholders on a timely and accurate basis
Assist in analyzing potential investment opportunities (from banking facilities to mergers and acquisitions) to maximize gains
Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets for the Group
Analyze monthly budgets vs actuals - provide meaningful feedback and propose corrective course of actions
Assist in preparation on month forecasts for the Group
Analyze monthly forecast vs actuals - provide meaningful feedback and propose corrective course of actions
Coordinate and ensure financial reporting of the subsidiaries are done timely and in accordance with applicable regulations
Providing technical expertise and advise on financial related matters for the Group
Assist in overall financial planning and cash flow management for the Group
Analyze financial reconciliation data, identify gaps and recommend areas for improvement
Implement and coordinate ad-hoc finance business initiatives (eg: driving digitalization to increase efficiency and accuracy of the finance process and reports)
Liaising and working closely with auditors, finance team and other stakeholders to ensure financial reporting is accurate
Ensure financial reporting are in compliance with financial reporting standards and the applicable laws of the local authorities
Assist and support in strengthening and improving of finance internal control and processes across the Group
Qualifications:
Education and Certification: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field is preferred. In addition, certification as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or CPA
Relevant Experience: You should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning, investment management, or a similar field. Experience in developing financial plans, assessing risk tolerance, and recommending investment strategies is also preferred.
Analytical Skills: You should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on your analysis.
Communication Skills: You should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, co-workers, and other professionals. You should be able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Customer Service: You should have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their financial goals.
Technology Skills: You should be proficient in financial planning software as well as Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Regulatory Knowledge: You should have a good understanding of the regulatory environment in which you work, including securities regulations, tax laws, and other financial regulations.
