In this position, you will be assigned to our busy client located in Sydney, Australia. This client has a long-standing history in the financial services sector. Their primary role is to provide employer and employee superannuation advice to well-known, national and international corporate companies, helping their employees 'sow, nourish and harvest their wealth.'
In addition, they also specialize in life insurance, personal financial planning, property loan advice and self-managed super funds.
Your Responsibilities
As a team member of the corporate super team, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing basic corporate super statements of advice (SOAs) using internal templates on the Xplan software
Assisting with the preparation and lodgment of client applications and other financial documentation such as rollovers, withdrawals, insurance applications and insurance consolidations
Following through with advice implementation
Liaising with third parties including fund managers and insurance companies on insurance and superannuation administration matters
Generating client reports from fund manager websites
Attending to client inquiries through the phone or email
Maintaining client records via the Xplan software by uploading daily meeting notes and moving action items forward
Filing client information
Your Background
To qualify for this role, you must have:
3-5 years' experience working in a similar position
Experience in the Financial Services sector
Xplan experience. If none, training will be provided.
Understanding of the Australian superannuation/insurance industry
Experience in drafting basic superannuation SOAs
Experience in dealing with super funds as Colonial FirstChoice Employer Super, BT Super, MLC, ideally
Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency in drafting emails for 3rd party providers
A keen eye for detail and accuracy. You must be focused and organized.
Enthusiasm, confidence, drive, energy, and good presentation
Team skills and a sense of humor
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
