Direct Reports: Junior Accountant
Job Purpose: Finance lead for the country and will also provide finance support and advice to the Regional Director. This role will also play a leading role in supporting, managing, and driving the business goals and growth aspirations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Accurate & timely reporting of all essential reports to drive business decision
Effective and comprehensive financial modeling taking into consideration risk management
Provide an appropriate level of analysis to drive delivery against plan
Manage organizational cash flow, including budgeting, forecasting, and measuring actual spend as compared to budgets as compared to budgets
Maintain banking relationships and manage the Company's bank accounts
Maintain full-cycle accounting records (bookkeeping) using standardized accounting software
Prepare accrual basis financial statements and audit schedules for use with internal management, external financial reporting, and outside audit firms
Aid in the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP, as required
Oversee all tax functions, from preparation to filings
Develop, implement, report, and maintain accounting, payment, payroll, purchasing and receivable policies, procedures, and internal controls in concert with CFO and CEO
Process payroll and ensure statutory remittances are made within predefined deadlines. Implement long-term initiatives to manage receivables/AR turnover and strategic planning of corporate structure and working capital/debt financing
Work closely with the Regional Director in securing project financing, project modeling, and contract reviews.
Leads project due diligence process and provides a recommendation to the investment committee.
Qualifications:
CPA, with a strong preference for audit firm training. CMA will be an added advantage
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Corporate Controller in a public company with deep IFRS reporting experience.
Strong excel and ERP system experience, system implementation experience a plus.
Ability to work both independently and collaborate closely with team members
