Job Description
My client, a leading Multi National based in Co. Mayo require an experienced Financial Controller to join the Senior Leadership team.
Exciting opportunity to join a progressive, dynamic and unique company who are a market leader in their sector. The role, Financial Controller, will be responsible for ensuring that you manage the running of a controlled and efficient finance function, to deliver accurate financial results in a strong control-focused environment. Acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner to support and advise operational, commercial and finance teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
Overall Responsibility for the Finance function
Production of monthly management accounts.
Key Business Partnering role with the Senior Management team to help grow the business
Prepare and submit grant applications.
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
Supporting the businesses management teams with strategy, commercial decision and operational improvements
Responsibility for the planning process, cost reviews, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts
Working with P&L owners to ensure targets being met
Streamlining and standardising monthly management reporting
Delivery of analysis to support business unit decision making on pricing, customer acquisition, promotions and cost base, taking ownership of major capital approval process
Manage working capital requirements.
Overall responsibility for the budgeting process
Requirements
Qualified ACCA/ACA/CPA.
Minimum 5 years post qualified experience
Experience in a manufacturing industry related role is essential.
Financial and Management Accounting background.
Experience in analysing financial data and report preparation & presentation, knowledge of Irish GAAP is essential.
Strong commercial background with in-depth knowledge of ERP systems & product costing.
Strong accounting knowledge of AP, AR, Inventory & GL, and month-end experience.
Demonstrated critical and effective decision-making skills with the ability to work on one's own initiative to resolve competing priorities and with minimum supervision.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, which include but are not limited to presentation and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail, self-motivator, and ability to adapt to change are key to this role.
Be a strong team member with the ability to identify and drive efficiency improvements.
