Responsible for the General Accounting function including the closing, reconciling, analysis, and reporting of the general ledger. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Coordinates the monthly, quarterly and annual period closing. Oversees and ensures timely and accurate posting of journal entries. Maintains subsidiary ledgers. Completes periodic balance sheet account review and reconciliations. Manages accounting system administration, cost center and GL account master data maintenance, customer and vendor master data maintenance, invoicing, accruals and restatements. Provides guidance and training to less experienced accountants in the department. Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; 4 years of experience in a General Accounting function in a multinational company; prior experience involving the application of statutory accounting principles and developing, testing, implementing, and reconciling automated systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. CPA or MBA preferred.
