Job Summary The role is accountable for the financial application support for Asia territories as part of the Finance Shared Service initiatives within Manulife Business Processing Services ( MBPS ) and for the maintenance of trust with our customers. Overview MBPS is officially registered as Manulife Data Services, Inc. but with an official trade name of Manulife Business Processing Services. MBPS is a Global Shared Service Centre providing Operations Administration, Finance & Investments, Contact Center, Claims, New Business and Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal & Compliance and Digital Information Services to Manulife Companies around the world. MBPS is headquartered in Quezon City, Philippines. MBPS has approximately 4,600+ employees across Manila, Cebu, and Chengdu (China). We are a Global Shared Service Center for Investments and Finance consisting of highly motivated and experienced professionals committed to excellence in customer service. Our customers include Business Units across the group in Investment Division and/or Finance Functions. MBPS Investment and Finance has approximately 420+ FTEs across Manila and Cebu. Role and Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Finance Team Leader, the Financial Analyst is primarily accountable for supporting the use of different financial applications for Asia Territories by documenting, analyzing, coordinating and recommending best practice of finance operation across business units in Asia. Responsibilities include the following: Finance system support The job holder will review and approve the service now requests submitted from BUs. He/She will ensure the details of the requests are correctly assigned and the attributes are aligned with the system and reporting requirements. In addition, the job holder must ensure the users apply the system access rights in need-to-know basis. Daily review and approve the finance system request. Help to identify the root causes and resolve GL and Essbase problems raised by business units. Coordinate and monitor the semi-annual system entitlements review Coordinate and work with stakeholders from business units, regional office and IFS to ensure the smooth system change execution Month End and Quarter End Closing The job holder will be responsible for providing technical support before and in the month end and quarter end closing. He/she will have to be able to work under the high pressure and help to resolve problem in the short period of time or before the report submission deadline. Accommodate the latest reporting requirements in upload template and Essbase cubes Effectively and timely work with regional office and BUs on any template and Essbase cube testing Closely monitor the data quality in the systems Qualifications 3+ years of working experience with progressive responsibility within the Finance industry Advanced Knowledge of IFS Applications (Essbase, EAS Console) Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. mastery of excel formulas and pivot tables is a must, VBA is a plus). Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word and Power Point Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cultures. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
