Description
The Financial Analyst is responsible to assist in preparation of Financial reports for Business Units. This includes analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, Orders, Headcount and various financial reporting requirements of Emerson Business Units/Sites.
Responsibilities
-Generates quantitative information from a single or multiple tools (Business Intelligence Tools (ie: HFM, Oracle, BBBI, Qlikview, Noetix, Financial Statements, Certificates and Notes to financial data).
-Formats extracted data based on expected report output (Freight Report, Retained Earnings Reconciliation).
-Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the report (Cost Accounting Report, Page 16, Embedded Derivatives Calculation, Retained Earnings Reconciliation, Sales Returns & Allowances, Warranty Report and Bad Debt Analysis). Requirements
Education:
-Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
-Must be a Certified Public Accountant
Job Related Experience:
-Must have 1-3 years combined experience in financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, general ledger, general accounting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and inventory, financial statements preparation and audit.
Specific Knowledge:
-Practical knowledge of Enterprise resource planning (i.e., Hyperion Financial Management System, JD Edwards, Oracle)
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
-Working knowledge of Generally-accepted accounting principles and Financial Accounting Standard Board regulation
