As a Financial Accountant,
You will be responsible for managing daily, weekly and monthly finance processes to deliver the monthly reporting including P&L reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and compliance requirements of the Finance function, whilst continuously improving processes and systems.
Some of the things we expect you to do are to:
Assist with process improvement to improve efficiency, improve data quality and reduce the cost of doing business.
Automation of reporting and processes.
Assist with the creation of a shared services environment for our client.
Monthly preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations across our client's subsidiaries.
Monthly review of Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
Review of monthly 3-way sales reconciliation.
Preparation of monthly rebate reports and entering accruals.
Reconciliation of RTO income/expenditure o Support the Year-End audit with other finance leaders.
Responsible for month-end in technical areas such as utilities, end-of-month stocktakes, and PPV/PQV analysis.
Preparation of the Bali team's month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Liaise with the Bali team, and external tax accountants to ensure the integrity of accounts and month-end close. This also includes support for the year-end tax returns.
Assist in the preparation of yearly AASB 16 lease accounting.
Responsible for collating relevant tax information and payment to relevant bodies (Income Tax, GST, FBT, PAYG etc)
Automate/drive efficiencies through current accounting processes and within the wider finance team.
Finance SME for non-finance system changes to ensure accounting accuracy and integrity.
Assist in supporting the Accounting Manager in the preparation of weekly cash flow reporting for Domestic and international.
Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis when required.
Support projects and process improvement initiatives where required
We would need you to be or have the following:
CA / CPA qualified
Relevant industry or professional services experience (3-5+ years)
Exceptional business systems skills (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP preferred)
High attention to detail
Sound understanding of accounting standards
