DOF is expanding the team.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Accountant to join the Manila Accounting Support Hub that provides services to DOF entities across Atlantic, North America and APAC regions.
This will be a 12-month maximum term opportunity and is required for an immediate start.

DOF Subsea is a specialist subsea service business that provides subsea construction, subsea engineering, inspection, repair and maintenance and survey services, which involve complex and challenging engineering in an international environment.
DOF Subsea owns a large fleet of modern subsea construction, intervention and survey vessels that enable it to offer differentiated positions with its clients and work in long term relationships, which enhance service delivery and reduce the overall risk.
The company's core business is project management, engineering, vessel operations, survey, remote intervention and diving operations, primarily for the Oil and Gas, Marine Telecommunications and Renewables markets.
Opportunities
As an Financial Accountant you will be team oriented, have good problem solving and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail . You will be part of a small and busy accounting team, reporting to the Accounting Supervisor. The team provide transactional and general accounting services to DOF Group entities.
You will be responsible for the following:
Prepare annual statutory accounts for relevant entities in conjunction with the Accounting Supervisor/Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager.
Assist in the monthly reporting process. Tasks will include, journals input and other related activities, as outlined by the Accounting Supervisor/Finance Manager.
Assist with internal and external audits. Liaise with auditors, prepare schedules and supporting documents, respond to audit enquiries.
Prepare intercompany invoices for all rechargeable expenditure incurred and services provided at each month end.
Maintain both the book and tax fixed asset registers. Ensure all items of a capital nature are identified and capitalised and then depreciated in accordance with group policy. Ensure the book register reconciles to the GL.
Reconcile intercompany transactions, investigate and liaise with a counterpart with regards to any deviations between related parties, document reconciliation performed.
Perform reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts. Collate these in the month-end file, which is referenced to the final trial balance.
Post customer payments into the system, allocate payments to relevant invoices.
Perform weekly bank reconciliations for relevant entities.
Requirements
We are looking for a Financial Accountant that has:
A minimum of 5 years demonstrative practical experience with "big four" audit firms.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
Experience with ERP systems and MS Excel
Effective communication skills
The ability to meet tight deadline
