About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and organised Financial Accountant for our client who is based in Australia. They are in the architecture and construction industry. The Finance Assistant role will be responsible for processing aged payables, receivables and associated general duties as required by the Finance Manager. Consistently promoting high standards and attention to detail through a process driven mindset, assisting our finance team to deliver excellence to its stakeholders with a genuine desire to be part of a winning team.
Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable processing, payments and statements;
Handle customers' accounts queries
Investigate and resolve accounts payable enquiries
Manage Debtor collections
Assist with processing account applications
Process customer, credit card payments, internal expense claims
Updating and maintaining databases and record keeping
Data entry and general administrator duties
Support the accountant in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor/College degree in Accounting/Finance or any related field preferred;
At least 3 years experience in accounting (AP/AR) and finance;
Background in bookkeeping and financial administration;
Experience in dealing with customer collections and good customer service skills
Process improvement mindset and analytical;
Well organised & reliable, proactive with urgency to meet deadlines
Strong communications skills: verbal and written;
High level of accuracy and attention to details and decision making skills.
Proficiency in accounting systems, Excel and Word skills;
