JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The Finance Services Group Leader acts as the Financial Controller of the Bank who is primarily responsible on its accounting operations. This includes the responsibility of ensuring that financial systems, procedures and controls are aligned with the organization’s business thrusts and objectives, and with the various regulations. Provides over-all leadership and management of the Finance Services Group.
 
Additionally:
Directs the development and installation of accounting policies, procedures and controls within the scope of responsibilities of Finance Services Group (FSG) to ensure compliance with various regulations.
Ensures that liquidity, operational and compliance risks are properly managed and monitored within the scope of responsibilities of FSG.
Ensures accurate, complete and timely reporting of financial results of the Bank to all stakeholders.
Analyzes and evaluates financial performance of the Bank and gives recommendations for corrective action if necessary.
Collaborates with various business functions within the Bank to develop and implement policies, processes and work plans to ensure operations and cost effectiveness.
Coordinates with various EWB Operating Units for synergy activities and alignment of operating procedures as deemed applicable.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must be a CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT
With at least 5 years of work experience in banking and or financial organization
With proficient knowledge on banking operations and guidelines
Adequate knowledge & understanding of BSP’s manual of regulation for Banks, PDIC, AMLA and other regulatory bodies
With very good leadership and managerial competencies
Excellent in negotiation, verbal and written communication
MS Application Savvy (ie. MS Word, MS Excel)

Managerial / Supervisory
