Supporting the Group FP&A on the day-to-day operational tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review the accuracy and completeness of monthly intercompany recharges and expense accruals for assigned Group Cost Centre.
Perform cost centre maintenance for assigned Group Cost Centres.
Monitor, escalate and resolve accounting issues stemming from the review process in a timely manner (i.e., reversals, reclassifications).
Maintain Capitalization and Prepayment Schedules.
Prepare payment requisitions and liaise with Accounts Payable team in the processing of invoice payments.
Investigate and analyze variances between actuals and budget including a deep dive analysis of costs where applicable.
Produce monthly and quarterly Management Performance Reports
Produce ad-hoc analysis reports as required by Management (e.g. resource, capex, running forecast, project life financials, etc.)
Support the Expense Planning, Budgeting and Reforecasting activities of the Group Head Office
Ensure proper documentation and archiving of key artefacts.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, specifically Group and Divisional Business Partners, Group Finance Team, and other internal support teams.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
2 years relevant experience
Preferred Competencies/Skills
Intermediate to advanced skills in spreadsheets, data analysis, and reconciliation procedures
Attention to detail and results oriented
Strong problem-solving skills
Exhibits critical thinking and curiosity
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Effective time management skills to meet competing deadlines
Resilient, adaptable, resourceful
Preferred Experience
Accounting Graduate
At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in Finance industry
Insurance experience is desirable
Experience with using Oracle accounting general ledger to build & run queries
Preferred Knowledge
Solid foundation on Management and Financial Accounting principles
Good working knowledge of financial processes, procedures, and solutions
Good level of awareness around best practices in financial data management and reporting
Fundamental knowledge of Corporate Finance
