Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
The role will primarily be responsible for driving the timely & effective delivery of Efficiency programme target, embedding expense efficiency culture mindset into stakeholders DNA and ensuring that business users are positioned for success.
Responsibilities include the following:
Strategic Cost Management (SCM)
Collaborate with the representatives of Asia markets to deliver SCM objectives. BUs are responsible to develop SCM strategies and initiatives. The role will lead the process and timelines of initiatives submission and provide feedback on the initiatives requirements.
Ensure consistency of initiative details and supporting documents submitted by BUs. The role needs to assess that the required documentation and benefit calculation are submitted on time and are consistent based on organization's standards.
Maintain the access list to GIA sites and dashboard. The role will handle and coordinate access requests to GIA sharepoint sites and dashboard.
Support in other regular reports. The role will provide regular reports on Regional initiatives (e.g., MOR, BU and Function Reporting).
Support the conclusion of Asia YE SCM position. The role will help provide reports and summaries that may be needed in wrapping up the year-end SCM position for Asia.
Efficiency Programme
Support in Efficiency initiatives that deliver sustainable saves to the Asia Segment. Role will assist and work with the respective function team to track the saves of the efficiency and expense management initiatives for Asia.
Provide support in data gathering, process analysis, coordination with stakeholders. Support in producing regular reports to track the Regional initiative status and performance (e.g., MOR, BU and Function Re porting).
Provide support for adhoc requests. The role will assist in providing data and summaries needed for adhoc reports or projects.
Provide assistance and guidance to team members on other efficiency initiative/programme, under the Transformation Office, mandate.
Leadership/Management
Drive the team in achieving its organizational goals and objectives.
Consult with MBPS Finance management on business planning, direction, and identification of opportunities for team growth and development
Perform the People Manager role for the performance management, professional growth and development of staff which includes feedback sessions, productivity tracking, coaching, one to one meetings and regular employee reviews.
Lead the regular business reviews and produce dashboard and metrics reports detailing the team's performance (productivity, utilization, and attendance), challenges and areas for improvement.
Ensure that all Service Level Agreements and MBPS and Business Unit compliance standards are met at all times.
Partner with the Business Unit stakeholders through regular discussions and to ensure that the team's activities and priorities are aligned with the Business Unit objectives.
Special Projects
Special projects will arise from time to time that will require strong financial knowledge, strong analytical and organizational skills with an innovative mindset. The role will be responsible ad-hoc projects as required by senior management pertaining to the introduction of new systems, services, products and processes designed.
Qualifications
University Business Degree and/or recognized accounting designation (CA or CPA)
Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial reporting and/or other finance related roles
Experience working with multiple stakeholders
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strong stakeholder management capabilities
Advanced Excel skills
Self-starter, detail-oriented, willingness to take ownership and accountability
Professional attitude and client service orientation collaborative and results-oriented
Able to cope in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, with the mindset of continuous improvement and aiming for excellence
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments
Strong oral/written communication skills required to interact with stakeholders and representatives from other Divisions and functional departments
