Deliver efficient and effective business process, tax, and other statutory compliance activities to mitigate key operational, financial and compliance risks and threats; Ensures compliance on any other financial regulatory requirements.
Ensures daily and thorough compliance with the implementing rules and regulations of the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA); Performs periodic entity wide and per-product risk assessments, customer due diligence, monitoring of daily transactions, record-keeping & maintenance, and reporting any findings on a timely manner.
Collects and reviews all tax related information; Ensures (1) all transactions and items are properly classified and and appropriate tax treatments are applied (2) timely reporting of taxation authorities and (3) advises management on the tax impact of various corporate plan and recommends strategies to maximize tax savings and minimizing tax exposures
Job Qualifications:
Must be a Certified Public Accountant with at least five (5) years in the field of external and/or internal audit, taxation, and compliance inclusive of at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a similar role
Preferably with CIA, CFE, CISA and/or other relevant certification(s), and with PEZA and casino experience
Must have an excellent grasp of accounting principles and IT applications and an adequate grasp or appreciation of economics, commercial law, taxation and finance to be able to recognize problems or potential problems.
