Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (with potential to grow into full-time role) Salary: Php 30,000 - 40,000Role OverviewA fast-growing Australian and New Zealand food supplier is seeking a Finance & Reconciliations Specialist to manage all accounts payable and receivable functions across multiple currencies. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations while the company transitions from broad spreadsheet systems into Xero and a new operating platform. Reporting directly to the General Manager and CEO, this position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work across multiple accounts (AirWallex, Commonwealth Bank, and local AU accounts), and the discipline to implement more streamlined processes. This role provides the chance to build lasting financial processes, upgrade systems, and modernize the way the company manages its finances through technology and process excellence.Major ObjectivesWithin the first 90 days, assume full ownership of daily reconciliations across multiple accounts including AirWallex, Commonwealth Bank, and Xero, ensuring 100% accuracy and closing monthly books on time. Success will be measured by error-free reconciliations and improved turnaround time.Within the first 6 months, lead the migration from a spreadsheet-based system to Xero and the new operating platform. Deliver a standardized process for AP/AR and reconciliations that reduces errors, shortens reporting cycles, and enables financial visibility for leadership.By the end of the first year, establish scalable financial controls and reporting practices that support the company's retail expansion. Success will be measured by SOP creation, automation of repetitive tasks, and leadership's confidence in financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesManage all invoices, payments, and receipts on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with procedures.Perform detailed multi-currency reconciliations weekly and monthly, resolving discrepancies quickly and producing reconciled reports for management.Support leadership by preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that summarize cash flow, expenses, and receivables.Assist with audit readiness by maintaining clean and well-documented records that comply with regulatory and internal standards.Collaborate with the General Manager to improve processes, reduce reliance on spreadsheets, and embed best practices into financial operations.Proactively identify risks, anomalies, or inefficiencies in reconciliations, recommending process improvements to enhance reliability and speed.Continuously Evaluate and Integrate AI to Improve Performance: Within the first 90-180 days, assess how Xero automations, AI reconciliation tools, or anomaly detection platforms can streamline financial processes. Lead pilot implementations and embed continuous AI adoption into routine finance operations.​RequirementsCore Experience & Functional BackgroundMinimum 2-4 years experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, or Financial Operations roles.Proven track record of performing reconciliations across multi-currency bank accounts (e.g., AUD, NZD, USD).Prior experience managing finance workflows in Xero or similar accounting platforms.Demonstrated capability to transition from manual/spreadsheet-based systems to automated cloud finance platforms.
Experience with daily and monthly reconciliations, invoice processing, payment runs, and cash flow tracking.Technical & Process SkillsProficient in Xero, AirWallex, and online business banking portals (e.g., Commonwealth Bank AU).High level of accuracy and consistency in financial data entry and report generation.Strong command of multi-currency reconciliations, foreign exchange impact tracking, and cross-border payment flows.Skilled in Excel and Google Sheets, including use of pivot tables, formulas, and reconciliation templates.Familiarity with SOP development, audit preparation, and financial compliance practices.Comfortable using or learning AI-powered tools for reconciliation, anomaly detection, or automation of finance tasks.
