Managing accountancy by effectively using AGRESSO based on AAH standards, IFRS, Government Regulation and Donor Policies; carry out project financial and accounting tasks in a correct manner to regularly produce reliable and transparent information on a timely manner.
Key activities in your role will include
Objective 1: Accounting/Financial Management/Clerical Support to Finance Unit
Review supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and correctness of accounting codes in the disbursement vouchers.
Effectively communicate with colleagues/clients in areas requiring verification, correction, additional information, etc. to improve quality of output and/or account submission and increase knowledge base in the process.
Effectively monitor financial recorded expenditures and escalate to Finance Unit any discrepancies and provide solutions.
Effectively monitor the cash requirements of the Project to ensure adequate cash is available to meet current payment requests.
Ensure the maintenance of a good filing and archiving system for the purpose of achieving quick reference and up-to date financial records. Coordinate with the Finance Compliance Supervisor for any archiving concerns and compliance with donor related archiving and future audit requirements.
Objective 2: Treasury management/Internal Transfer
Support in monitoring the funds transferred and follow-up urgent internal transfer from Capital to Base to ensure timely disbursement to custodians.
Review and confirm the appropriateness of all operational transactions processed through the interpretation and determination of applicable AAH policies, regulations, and rules.
Objective 3: Knowledge building/Knowledge sharing
Actively participate in the training for operations/finance staff such as local taxation law requirements.
Actively contribute to AAH knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Do you meet the profile required criteria?
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any related field.
Knowledge of specialized finance, accounting and clerical procedures related to project accounting and financial reporting.
Experience of at least 1 year in a similar position
Computer skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet); Good knowledge accounting software (AGRESSO)
Fluent spoken and written English and Filipino
